The Annual Helen and Leon Sperling Holocaust Memorial Lecture will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 7:30 PM at the Jewish Community Center (2310 Oneida St. in Utica). The committee is pleased to welcome Dave Reckess who will not only tell his grandmother’s story but relate how it has affected him. Dave is President of 3GNY (Third Generation of Holocaust Survivors in New York), a non-profit organization.
As a living link they preserve the legacies and lessons of the Holocaust. Their mission is to educate diverse communities about the perils of intolerance, as well as provide a supportive forum for the descendants of survivors.
This free program is particularly timely and open to everyone. Please consider bringing students of middle and high school age, your friends and neighbors.
