Give Today!
With the closing of several community centers in our city, and the J. C. C.’s ability to provide programming for the influx of new users from the entire Utica area, the Jewish Community Center now fancies itself, “Utica’s Community Center.” This has put a tremendous financial strain on our center, making it incumbent upon community members of means to subsidize these increased financial demands. If you believe in the importance of the community health and wellness classes, education programs, multi- cultural events and the vast services we provide to the area, please help support our cause.
By donating to the J. C. C. you give back to your entire local community. You may donate directly by using our Donate Now button, or you may choose to donate in other ways. J.C. C. Preschool Alumni Program
As you know, becoming a member of the J. C. C. Preschool means so much more than simply enrolling your child in a childcare or classroom setting. We at the J. C. C. are committed to providing your child, or children, with a warm, nurturing, loving environment in which to grow and learn. In recent years the J. C. C. Preschool has created modern, lasting educational initiatives such as the “Ready to Read” Program and The Kelberman Promise classroom. As part of our “Healthy Living” Campaign we offer sports of all sorts including Soccer, Kids Zumba, Basketball, TaeKwonDo, Rock Wall activities and Floor Hockey with the Utica Comets to children of school age. It is the goal of the J. C. C. Preschool to provide excellent and age appropriate programming to all in our community, in a family friendly environment.
Through generous alumni donations, the J. C. C. plans to establish a brighter and more updated interior, to make continued upgrades to our exterior, our classrooms and our outdoor areas, create additional sports programming and scholarships, all in an effort to continue a lasting legacy of excellence at the J. C. C. Preschool.
If you are Preschool Alumni and would like to make a donation to the J. C. C. Preschool Alumni Program, please make checks payable to the J. C. C. Preschool.
Planned Giving
Often times called deferred gifts, planned gifts are a variety of charitable giving methods that allow you to express our personal interests and values by directing your charitable and financial goals. Planned gifts refer to specific financial strategies that, in most cases, will benefit the Jewish Community Federation of the Mohawk Valley at some point in the future, while offering immediate benefits to you. Some examples of planned giving:
The gift of a paid-up life insurance policy is a good example of a planned gift. By designating the J. C. C. as owner and beneficiary of such a policy, you will receive a charitable income tax deduction that, in most cases, is equal to your cost basis in the policy.
A Charitable Bequest makes it possible for you to make your wishes known today without relinquishing needed assets during your lifetime. Bequests can transfer a specific asset. You can also give a percentage of the estate after costs and taxes.
Retirement plans– Naming the J. C. C. as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k) or 403(b) can reduce taxes, and result in a significant gift to the J. C. C.
If you are interested in planned giving, please contact our Executive Director, Victor Pearlman, at (315) 733-2343
