Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi will speak at the Jewish Community Center on Monday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. about his recent trip to Israel. He was part of a legislative delegation sponsored by UJA-Federation of New York.
The assemblyman was selected, along with 10 of his legislative colleagues, to tour Israel. They learned about the issues and problems his Israeli counterparts are currently working on.
During his trip, Brindisi visited the Golan Heights, Tel Aviv, Gaza border, Jerusalem, the West Bank and Dead Sea areas, among many other sites.
The trip produced many insights. Brindisi gained an insider’s perspective by meeting Israel’s high-level government officials, military analysts, and leading economists, as well as Israeli and Palestinian community leaders. He will give a brief slideshow presentation on the trip, followed by a question and answer session.
Admission to this talk is $5. Proceeds will help cover pre-school programs at the J.C.C.
