Interactive drum and dance workshops and performance demonstration by members of the Slyboots Circus- Griffin Brady, Erico Borkety Ansuade of Ghana and Kasumu Ade from Nigeria!! If you can walk, you can dance! If you can talk, you can sing! Feel the ground below your feet, hear live drumming echo in your heartbeat. Utilizing guided movement and gestures, patrons will discover the power African drum and dance has to communicate with the accompanying musicians, dancers, the audience and the soul. Open to all ages and abilities, come and explore the beautifully rich culture from West Africa that has influenced music and dance the world over. This workshop aims to educate and inspire… and get a great workout at the same time! Be prepared to drum, sing, dance, discuss!
