Israeli Scouts Entertain the J.C.C. on July 30

On Tuesday, July 30, at 6 p.m., the Jewish Community Center will host this year’s version of the Israeli Scouts in the J.C.C. auditorium. As in past years, this year’s Friendship Caravan will consist of a talented group of 16 and 17- year -old Israeli teens who perform an “audience interactive” song and dance routine, sure to remind you of the tremendous love we all have for the miracle of Israel.

This summer’s caravan is called “Shemer,” named after the Israeli musician and songwriter Naomi Shemer, who was hailed as the first lady of Israeli song and poetry. The theme of this year’s show is “100 year’s of connection.” The caravan aims high and wants to work towards a better society so that there is a strong connection between the people of Israel and America. Through song and dance, conversations and activities, the caravan will warm your hearts and bring a piece of Israel right to you.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a dinner of eggplant parmigiana, pizza and salads. The scouts will perform at 7 p.m. ADMISSION IS FREE, with the evening being sponsored by the Robert and Sara Smith Fund of the J.C.C. Of all the events we have at the J.C.C. each year, this is the one most suitable for members of the entire family. We encourage you to bring the kids.

Reservations are due by Friday, July 26. Call the J.C.C. at (315) 733-2343, or email us at Lindsay @jccutica.net.
