No, the Jewish Community Center and its preschool is open to all races, religions and ethnic origins.

Are preschool families members of the JCC?
When you become a member of the preschool you are considered a member of the Jewish Community Center. The membership entitles families to use the facilities and programs offered at the JCC for free or a reduced rate.

Does my child have to be potty trained before attending preschool?
No, in our two year old class the teachers have a changing table to adequately change diapers. When in the three and four year old classes the teachers will guide the child through changing themselves when needed. We ask parents to do the same at home to initiate independent skills. Other than the two year old class we ask the parents to put the child in pull-ups.

Are the teachers New York State certified?
Each class has a head teacher that has the qualifications required by the Office of Children and Family Services. Most of the teachers have a background in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Every teacher has an extensive background check done by the Office of Children and Family Services before hire.
